Seattle City Council President Sally Clark to be featured speaker at Groundswell NW’s annual meeting, Wednesday, April 4
Groundswell NW will welcome Seattle City Council President Sally Clark to Ballard, as our featured speaker at the Groundswell NW annual meeting on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ballard Boys and Girls Club. All are welcome to come and learn about Seattle City Council’s green space priorities for 2012 and how that will have an impact on Ballard, such as the development of greenways, rain gardens, and the “missing link” of the Burke-Gilman Trail.
Wednesday, April 4, 2012
7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Ballard Boys and Girls Club
1767 NW 64th St
In addition to a question and answer session with Council President Clark, Groundswell NW will also present our annual “Local Heroes” awards, where we recognize our fellow Ballardites’ efforts to create and enhance parks, public spaces, and habitat in our community. Representatives from current Groundswell NW-sponsored projects, such as the 14th Ave park boulevard and Sunset Hill – Shilshole Gateway, will also be on hand to talk about their progress of their projects.
This is a public event open to all. We welcome donations of desserts for the dessert potluck, but it is not required. Join us for Groundswell NW’s annual meeting!
This is a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and learn first hand what is in store for Ballard.
