Initiatives, Projects and Accomplishments

Projects for 2010:
Earth Day Business Area Cleanup – Thanks for your help!
Application for OED funds for Business District Identity Project – $3,000 awarded!
Forming interest based groups of business including (graffiti removal, business district identity)
Collaboration with CH Neighbors on traffic management through our district
Creating NW district recreational walking maps

Some of our accomplishments in 2009:
Painted out graffiti throughout our business district
Participated in “Earth Day” neighborhood clean-up
Worked with the Ballard District Council to represent our interests in planning in our community
Working towards a more walkable business district, better connected with our surrounding neighborhood

2008
Sponsored a mural on NW 80th and 15th Ave NW. The artist is Paul McKee and his work is also found at the Greenwood Library and as benches along Greenwood Ave. It was funded by a grant from OED.
